Student Kinesiologist
Jessica is a student at the University of Alberta undergoing her 4th and final year of her Bachelor in Kinesiology and will be completing her practicum placement here at Revival. She is majoring in Physical Activity and Health and will be graduating with her Bachelors Degree in June of 2025.
Among other tasks, Jessica will be qualified to perform various physical and exercise related assessments, as well as prescribe and progress specialized programs tailored to the needs of her clients. Jessica is also certified in Taping and Strapping, and Athletic Injury Management with the Sports Medicine Council of Alberta (SMCA). Additionally, Jessica is an experienced Therapy Assistant and has been working as a casual employee in the Valleyview Health Centre Physiotherapy Department since February of 2023 whilst completing her degree.
Jessica’s main goal at Revival Physiotherapy and Manual Osteopathy is to apply her knowledge learned in her degree, and to further her learning from Heather's wealth of knowledge and experience. Jessica hopes to utilize and apply her knowledge to assist clients with their individual goals and needs. Whether it be for pain relief, rehabilitation, or performance, Jessica wants to help her fellow community members one client at a time both during, and after her practicum.
In the Winter, you can find Jessica complaining about the cold, wishing she could hibernate, and watching hockey (be easy on her if the Oilers are losing). In the Summer, Jessica enjoys spending her free time on outdoor activities such as gardening (except for the weeds…), camping, fishing, and going to the river.
